Privacy Policy

How we handle website information and respect your privacy.

Last updated:

Your privacy matters to our team. This policy explains the information associated with using our website, how it may be used, and how to contact us with questions.

1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to this website and general website-related communications with Root Canal Center of Hallandale (the “practice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our practice is based in Hallandale Beach, Florida, and this website is intended for people seeking information about our U.S. dental services.

Protected health information in our patient records is governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable law. If the notices overlap, the HIPAA notice controls the handling of protected health information. Our Terms of Use explain the conditions for using this website.

2. Information we receive

  • Information you choose to provide. When you call or email the office, we may receive your name, contact details, and the contents of your communication so we can respond. Please keep medical records, radiographs, payment information, and other sensitive details out of general email.
  • Technical information. Our hosting provider may process information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, and request times to deliver and protect the website.
  • Referral preview. The referral form currently demonstrates the planned workflow only. Information entered and files selected remain in the open form on your device. The form does not submit, upload, save to a server, or email them. Closing the form clears its contents. Use fictitious information and test files only.

This website currently has no active patient intake, payment collection, or online appointment booking service. Appointment requests are confirmed directly with the office. Contact us by phone for instructions on securely sharing patient information.

3. How information is used

We use information we receive to answer questions, communicate with you about services or appointment requests, maintain the website, investigate technical or security issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. Information that becomes part of your patient record is handled under our HIPAA notice.

Providing a phone number or email address does not, by itself, enroll you in automated promotional calls, texts, or newsletters. Any such program would require its own applicable notices and consent process. You may ask the office to update your communication preferences.

4. Cookies, hosting & maps

Accessibility display preferences are saved in this browser’s local storage when available. They are not sent to the practice or used for advertising. Reset settings removes the saved preferences and restores the default display.

The hosting platform may use cookies or similar technology for access, security, and essential website functions. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking them may affect access or functionality.

The contact page includes an embedded Google Map. Loading or interacting with that map may send technical information, including your IP address and browser information, to Google, and Google may use cookies under its own policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

The current website does not have practice-configured advertising pixels, remarketing tools, or analytics trackers. If these practices change, we will update this policy and provide notices or choices as required.

5. Sharing & outside services

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who support our communications, hosting, security, and business operations, subject to appropriate contractual and legal requirements. Vendors handling protected health information on our behalf must meet applicable HIPAA requirements, including a business associate agreement when required.

Information may also be disclosed when required or permitted by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a lawful business transition, subject to applicable privacy protections. A change in ownership does not remove protections for patient records.

Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. We do not control those services or their handling of information.

6. Security & retention

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. General email is not a secure patient-record upload channel. Call the office before sending confidential records or radiographs.

Information is retained as needed for its purpose and to satisfy applicable recordkeeping, legal, and operational requirements. Patient records are retained under applicable healthcare requirements; a request to delete information does not override required retention.

7. Your choices & children’s privacy

You may contact us to request access to or correction of information you have provided, ask about applicable privacy rights, or change communication preferences. We may need to verify your identity or authority before responding. Requests concerning patient records follow the process described in our HIPAA notice.

This website is intended for adults, including parents or legal guardians seeking information for a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through a website-related communication, contact us so we can address it as required by law. This does not limit the handling of a child’s clinical records under applicable healthcare law.

8. Updates & contact

We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
